Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Patient Registration role in our organization located in FORT WAYNE, Indiana. As a detail oriented in Patient Registration, your focus will be on accurately gathering patient information, maintaining records, and ensuring all necessary procedures are carried out efficiently. Your role will also involve handling customer inquiries, monitoring patient accounts, and taking the necessary action when required.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct interviews with incoming patients to collect demographic details, insurance information, and emergency contacts

• Oversee the completion of all necessary paperwork and ensure all sign-in and security procedures are adhered to

• Explain the policies of the facility to patients and ensure they understand them clearly

• Prepare and distribute patient identification bands as required

• Arrange for the transportation of patients to their designated rooms

• Handle additional responsibilities such as collecting copayments when required

• Answer incoming calls, assist family members with their inquiries, and manage switchboards with 1-10 lines

• Conduct research to locate prior medical records and account folders when necessary

• Enter data accurately and efficiently, maintaining a high level of attention to detail

• Utilize typing skills for data entry tasks, ensuring speed and accuracy. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role

• Proficient in customer service

• Familiar with medical records management

• Experience in handling copays

• Knowledge and experience in managing a switchboard with 1-10 lines

• Proficient in data entry

• Typing data entry skills are essential
