Job Description:

SUMMARY

Working in the Riparian area of the Maintenance Section of the Parks and Recreation Department, incumbent is responsible for any or all maintenance tasks as assigned. The incumbent is expected to exercise good judgment, independence, initiative, and professional expertise in conducting day-to-day operations. All work duties and activities must be performed in accordance with the City and Utility's safety rules and operating regulations, policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the ability to interact with the public, City incumbents, and outside agencies with patience, tact, respect, and professionalism and the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assists with safe operation of work boats and crane;

Assists with removal from the river channel and banks: trash, logs, woody debris, boulders, miscellaneous debris, and invasive vegetation;

Assists with various dock maintenance work;

Assists with volunteer events;

Assists various parks maintenance crews;
