Parkview North Hospital Director Internal Audit in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Summary

Responsible to plan, direct, and coordinate internal audit activities of the enterprise-wide Internal Audit department. Provides direction and guidance to internal audit staff including contracted co-source staffing and performs internal audit projects as approved by the Compliance and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Works collaboratively with Parkview leaders across the system to provide assurance and advisory services that deliver quality and useful results. Works in collaboration with the VP Internal Audit in the design, planning, and execution of strategies for the assessment of organizational risks; and identification and prioritization of internal audit projects. Supports the VP Internal Audit in building and innovating a risk-based, best-in-class, internal audit function within Parkview Health to deliver quality services that bring value to those served. Leads by example and in alignment with organizational values.

Education

Bachelor's degree required. Graduate degree preferred.

Licensure/Certification

CISA, CISSP, CISM, CCISO, CIA, CPA, or CHIAP certification is required.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years of progressive audit or related experience primarily in project and personnel management. Experienced in evaluating and establishing priorities, project plans, policies & procedures, budgets, and schedules. Experienced leading in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Healthcare IT/IS, Cybersecurity, or Revenue Cycle experience highly preferred.

Demonstrates strong leadership as champion of Internal Audit strategy and a cohesive vision, including excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven leadership skills in building and leading exceptional teams through collaboration, mentoring, professional development. Ability to present information and/or data effectively to business leaders and diverse groups, for both background and decision-making purposes. Ability to communicate complex technical matters. Understanding of risk reduction and implementation of technology, processes, governance, organizational mechanics across the spectrum of the organizational risk landscape. Skilled at problem solving, strong organization skills, strong attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to understand complex issues. Demonstrates strong relationship management skills. Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, within budgeted resources while meeting agreed upon deadlines. Knowledgeable of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.
