Job Description:

SUMMARY

Working under the direction of the Manager VI - Aquatics-Scheduling-Community Events or his appointee incumbent supervises the maintenance operation of municipal outdoor swimming facilities to create and maintain a safe and fun leisure environment. The incumbent is expected to exercise good judgment, independence, initiative, and professional expertise in conducting day-to-day operations. All work duties and activities must be performed in accordance with the City safety rules and operating regulations, policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the ability to interact with the public, City incumbents, and outside agencies with patience, tact, respect, and professionalism and the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prepares pool for season openings;

Supervises Aquatic operations, Aquatic Managers and staff;

Determines and provides for supplies needed;

Monitors pool safety including equipment, procedures, repairs, and corrects unsafe conditions;

Reports equipment needs, repairs and replacement;
