AON Account Executive/ Broker in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania
Aon is looking for an Account Executive/Broker!
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions to support Aon Affinity in Fort Washington, PA.
Your impact as an Account Executive/Broker:
The Account Executive/Broker will be focused on handling assigned accounts working with senior leadership for support on the larger accounts for both client retention and new business development. The client base is the large accounting firms across the country. The lead product is the Professional Liability along with cross-sell responsibilities for Cyber, EPL, ML, Crime, Fiduciary and Kidnap, and Ransom. Developing and maintaining relationships with AICPA leadership and supporting broader efforts to bring the best of Aon. This will include building relationships with the insurance markets and supporting the brokerage to help advocate and bring solutions and build the appropriate insurance tower for this dynamic and growing profession.
The Account Executive/ Broker role required experience in accountants’ professional liability along with some experience with cyber, EPL, ML, Crime, and experience working in an account executive capacity as we need someone who can take a lead on our growing segment and work to gain the acumen needed to handle top 100 firms. This will include some support and collaboration with senior team members to develop the needed skillset. The role includes delivering innovative insurance and risk management solutions to professional firm prospects and clients, bringing risk management resources to clients and prospects as needed, developing Aon IQ, enhancing current knowledge of the accounting firm space to further develop business acumen around the profession and all of the risk transfer solutions.

What the day will look like:
Efficiently manage tasks assigned to you to ensure that they are completed by the deadline
Demonstrate your ability to present professionally in all elements of client-facing (internal and external) including technical writing and verbal presentations
Service clients and prospects throughout the full insurance brokerage deal flow process
Be effective in client deliverables (e.g., creating presentations, proposals, etc.) and ensure all client work is accurate and professional
Communicate effectively both internally and externally
Demonstrate competence in comparison and analysis of insurance policies and determination of needed enhancements by market
Be able to articulate the value proposition of Aon
Be proficient on internal Aon policies, procedures, and documents
Continue to learn and develop business/solution acumen
Develop relationships with AICPA and key business partner
Collaborate with other Aon business units
Assist in bringing feedback for risk development
Develop relationship with key legal partners and claims professionals
Attend PLUS or other industry events as the business needs determine
Develop the ability to put together and run panel discussions for the annual risk summit
Own all aspects of client service for your assigned clients and new business opportunities with collaboration with team leader if needed
Access and save documents to the shared drive as needed
Compile Renewal Strategy document inclusive of prior years' renewal highlights, program overview, benchmarking, and analytics, current market update, timeline and ensure it is tailored to the specifics of that client's industry and exposure
Gather submission material and work with the broker through the renewal process which includes setting up the strategy and renewal meetings
Solicit feedback from the marketplace and be able to differentiate market dynamics (coverage, appetite, claims, etc.)
Utilize effective underwriter relationships to improve broking results
Travel up to 30+%
Skills and experience that will lead to success
5+ years of experience in the accountant's professional liability space
Experience with cyber, ML, EPL, working with the accountants profession
Active P&C license or must obtain within 90 days of hire
Large account team experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
Ability to build relationships
Education:
Bachelor’s degree

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $90,000 to $100,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
