Lockheed Martin Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - MQ-1 and/or MQ-9 - OCONUS in Fort Walton Beach, Florida

Description: This position requires rotational OCONUS deployments. Works directly with the Shift Lead to manage, control and direct resources to accomplish scheduled and unscheduled organizational-level maintenance utilizing applicable Air Force directives/instructions on MQ-1 and MQ-9 aircraft and associated equipment. Directs and assists in the inspection, troubleshooting, and operations of deployed communications equipment to include Predator Primary Satellite Link Terminal, Ground Control Stations, and Ground Data Terminals, standard 6 radio frequencies, and line-of-sight, beyond line-of-sight, wideband, ground-based satellite, peripheral computer/communications and cryptographic equipment. Schedules satellite communications airtime and coordinates link activation with Department of Defense and civilian agencies. Assembles, connects, secures and interconnects components such as transmitters, power supplies and antenna assemblies. Monitors and de-conflicts transmit/receive signals to ensure optimum performance and prevents interference with other satellite users. Installs network technical solutions for real-time video dissemination via Remote Split Operations architecture. May perform aircraft engine runs and weapons loading and unloading. This candidate will remain on the flight line, to the fullest extent possible, when maintenance personnel are performing flight line maintenance and launching/recovering aircraft. In addition, the selected candidate will enforce and adhere to technical data and management procedures; ensures aircraft and equipment forms and Maintenance Information System documentation is complete, accurate and accomplished. Implements disaster control duties and responsibilities pertaining to aircraft/SE movement and personnel evacuation. Follows established CANN procedures and updates CANN action status on assigned aircraft. Understands aircraft status and inventory reporting as covered in Air Force Instruction 21-103 and applicable supplements. Informs and provides aircraft status updates to Shift Lead and the Maintenance Operations Control Center. Verifies MICAP conditions exist and reviews MICAP‘s status daily for accuracy. Ensure strict compliance and adherence with environmental directives and applicable environmental protection/compliance guidance. Ensure compliance with applicable government safety directives, standards, and industrial safety publications. Lastly, encourages a work environment of zero accident and injuries including no lost time accidents.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have at least five (5) years experience in aircraft maintenance. Must Successfully complete CONUS Recovery Center (CRC) to deploy. Must have a valid US Passport and a valid Drivers license.

Desired Skills:

One (1) year experience on MQ-1 and/or MQ-9, RQ-4 aircraft.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledgeable of applicable maintenance directives listed in Air Force Instruction 21-101. Possesses the ability to cultivate relations and building partnerships at all levels within LMCO. Demonstrated ability for problem solving and prioritizing multiple projects. Understanding of ISO 9001:2008/AS 91000 quality standards and related federal/state/local laws/regulations.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
