Full Time Accounting Assistant

General PURPOSE

Responsible for reconciling general ledger accounts through review of detailed transactions and/or third-party statements in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting/regulatory documents.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Prepares and recommends journal entries for areas of responsibility

• Compiles monthly reports for operations and/or management

• Maintains monthly supporting documentation for accounting statements, transactions and/or regulatory reporting

• Completes assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures

• Compiles invoices and processes Accounts Payable payments as directed and is held responsible for processing routine invoices as needed

• Responsible for maintaining business licenses. Researching and applying for licenses as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum two (2) years bookkeeping experience required

• Must be able to maintaining regular attendance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & BEHAVIORS

• Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

• Problem solving and mathematical skills

• Strong verbal and listening skills

• Detail oriented

• Good organizational skills

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information

• Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels
