Army Installation Management Command Recreation Assistant NF-02 in Fort Shafter, Hawaii

Summary This position is located at Fort Shafter Bowling Center, Fort Shafter, Hawaii. Responsibilities Responsible for manning customer service desk within the bowling center. Assigns lanes to be used, operates control console, rents shoes and sells pro shop items. Plans, conducts, publicizes and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; Receives and resolves customer complaints. Provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery. Informs supervisor of equipment malfunctions as well as other items needing maintenance and/or repair. May supervise, lead, oversee and/or coordinate the daily activities of other employees engaged in the performance of their duties. Opens and closes the facility as required. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Work experience which involved dealing with the general public. Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under the minimum qualifications criteria above. Highly Preferred Criteria: Must have ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must be able to lift 15 lbs. Work experience which provides a basic knowledge and understanding of bowling center operations including the rules related to bowling, leagues and tournaments is desirable. Work experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit of other processing of cash items when this includes direct handling of cash items, and use of cash accountability and control methods. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
