GIS Field Technician

GIS Field Technicians utilize GPS capable electronics to collect both utility location data along with geographical location with survey-grade accuracy. This data will be used to update the customer’s GIS mapping of newly installed fiber conduits.

What Do You Offer Us?

  • Capture data using Vivax vLoc3 RTK Pro locating equipment and other electronic devices.

  • Update design maps in ArcGIS with information such as photos, bore logs, and shape files to create As-Built records.

  • Cross validate data and ensure submissions meet customer requirements.

  • May regularly be exposed to heat, cold, rain and other elements of outdoor weather.

  • At all times, these professionals must follow safety procedures and laws

  • Other duties as assigned

What is Required?

  • This position requires travel throughout the state of Florida.

  • 1-3 years experience in geographic information systems or HDD operations.

  • Strong computer skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to be outdoors most of the day

  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro preferred

  • Associates degree or technical school equivalent in geographic information systems, computer science, or civil engineering preferred
