Summary of Position
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the hands-on oversight of a maintenance team that safely and efficiently supports a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role involves supervising a team of 12-20 Maintenance Technicians. The Ideal candidate will have a strong organizational, planning and communication skills and will be highly collaborative in working with various departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of multi-craft mechanics, including Shift Mechanics.
- Oversee the completion of all work orders and predictive and/or preventative maintenance needs and schedules.
- Identify, modify, adjust, and repair mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic parts or equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings or diagrams, including blueprints, schematics, and mechanical renditions.
- Utilize various power and hand tools, as well as measuring and gauging equipment, correctly and safely.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to identify and prioritize work orders, generate work orders, and ensure comprehensive documentation.
- Track employee work time, including maintaining timecards, attendance records, and managing time off requests to ensure adequate shift coverage.
- Conduct training sessions on safety, processes, quality, human resources, and company policies.
- Actively discuss staff-related challenges with the Maintenance Manager.
- Maximize equipment availability and reliability through the most effective use of the maintenance team.
- Ensure all work responsibilities are completed safely, efficiently, and effectively to achieve maximum reliability and minimize the need for "call backs."
- Manage and respond to emergencies or unplanned breakdowns quickly and effectively.
- Proven experience in supervising a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and diagrams.
- Strong general math skills, including proficiency with fractions and decimals.

Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Troubleshooting Experience with Electrical and mechanical equipment, PLC systems, Robots, AC drives, DC drives, motion control, HMI interface, motor control, safety sensor and relays.
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Systems (CMMS).
- Demonstrates electro-mechanical skills and the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, return to service and maintain a variety of manufacturing and peripheral equipment.
Education and/or Experience
- Undergraduate in Engineering Technology, Electrical Techniques or related subject.
- 1-2 years of experience with strong problem-solving skills preferably homed in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment with multiple priorities
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working on and with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic manufacturing systems. :::
