Summary About the Position: This position is located at U.S Army Special Operations Command, Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Responsibilities Review and edit budget requests submitted by staff and budget officers to assure they conform to USASOC/ARMY and Congressional requirements. Responsible for the full range of review and analysis functions in the formulation, presentation and execution of the budget. Prepare instructions and advises staff and budget officers on the preparation of detailed budget estimates, justification statement and budget execution. Perform a variety of budgetary and administrative functions in implementing the program. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience1) analyzing trends and reconciling budget execution; and 2) implementing budget execution processes for approved annual funding programs; and 3) preparing data summaries for routine and special budget execution reports; 4) Utilizing the automated financial systems: General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget Execution Budget Formulation, Justification, and Presentation Financial Management Analysis Fundamentals & Operations of Budget Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
