V2X Accounting Clerk III (CIF) in Fort Liberty, North Carolina

While assigned to the Fort Liberty Central Issue Facility (CIF), The Accounting Clerk III is responsible for posting to registers and ledgers; balancing and reconciling supply and property accounts; verifying the internal consistency, completeness and mathematical accuracy of supply and property accounting documents. Reviews, codes, and verifies transactions and data entries. Accounting Clerk III researches and resolves issues, discrepancies and exceptions. Has a deep understanding of supply and property accounting policies and regulations. This position also reconciles and verifies the clerical accuracy of various types of reports, lists, calculations, postings, etc.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

  • Gathers, complies, and verifies information and performs data entry.

  • Examines, verifies and corrects various accounting documents i.e. Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss (FLIPL) and Statement of Charges (SOC) to ensure completeness and accuracy of data in accordance to AR 735-5.

  • Performs a variety of administrative matters including, but not limited to, verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness, compiling information, and handling and adjusting discrepancies.

  • Processing of material through data processing for application in the property and supply accounting system.

  • Analysis and reconciliation of unit records.

  • Performs and maintains a manual and electronic filing system IAW AR 25-400-2.

  • Assists in inventories.

  • Performs other duties as required or directed by management.

  • Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.

    MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

  • Standard office equipment and associated computer applications.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective mask, safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat and eyewear in certain areas.

  • Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.

    PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine and printer.

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 45 pounds.

  • Must be able to stand and walk within work sites 6-8 hours a day in performance of duties.

  • Must be able to push, pull, carry, stoop, bend, squat and reach.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be able to pass the standard background check.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Must have a valid State Driver’s License with no restrictions.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).

  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.

  • Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Liberty Installation.

    EXPERIENCE:

  • Four (4) years or more experience in supply operations.

  • Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.

  • Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels.

    SKILLS:

  • Solid computer literacy

  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
