Job Description:

The infrastructure Technology Solutions – Infrastructure Security team is responsible for the engineering and delivery of infrastructure security capabilities and solutions, with a primary focus on network and identity, across TD's hybrid cloud environments. Our goal is to deliver secure and stable networks, hosting platforms, and applications to our internal and external customers. This mandate is met via the introduction and ongoing refinement of infrastructure security products, solutions, and services, the creation of standards and specifications, and development of ongoing operational & delivery processes. The team collaborates closely with other business and technology teams on strategic initiatives, including our risk management partners to align technology solutions with business, governance, and regulatory requirements.

The Senior Manager of Infrastructure Security IT Build will be responsible to manage a team of Infrastructure Security resources in the provisioning of Infrastructure Security services and products, including network security, load balancing & DNS, and IAM solutions for internal programs, applications, and systems. This team currently services over 3000 service delivery intake requests monthly.

The successful candidate must have demonstrated the ability to manage a technology service delivery team, providing leadership and technical guidance, settings targets and objectives, and delivering process enhancements through automation.

  • Responsible for management of the overall team providing both leadership and technical guidance; set targets and objectives for the team, and deliver results

  • Deliver solutions on Infrastructure Security platforms for a range of internal teams to support them in meeting business objectives / goals

  • Measure and monitor the level of service, analyze trends, agree on service target levels, and determine appropriate actions

  • Continuously improve timeliness of delivery without sacrificing quality of services offered

  • Ensure operational, reputational, and proprietary risks are minimized and focus on process improvement, especially via automation

  • Ensure compliance with well-defined enterprise technology delivery practices and standards and project management disciplines

  • Manage appropriate recovery of costs to ensure effective cost management within own area

  • Support the development of the strategic direction of Infrastructure Security Products and Services

  • Work with internal teams to deliver comprehensive IT solutions that meet client objectives for new and existing systems / applications

  • Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with industry and/or business trends

  • Negotiate and document project deliverables, timelines, project charters / costing, roles, responsibilities and critical milestones

  • In partnership with other team members, ensure a close relationship is maintained with other internal technology teams, in order to keep informed of their business needs and direction

  • Provide deployment support and troubleshooting to LOB Technology teams and ITS, as required

  • Grow team expertise to align with enterprise demand and the Bank's business / technology direction; assess team skills and capabilities and continually look for ways to provide and enhance the value delivered

  • Foster an environment / culture that encourages productivity, innovation, process improvement, teamwork and a high level of professionalism

  • Co-ordinate necessary resources to ensure completion by deadlines

  • Provide coaching, development, succession, recruitment, resource management and overall team leadership for team members and provide regular input into team members’ assessment of performance and development plans

  • Prioritize and manage own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines

  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency of the business unit and/or team

  • Establish effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners, program and project managers

Depth & Scope:

  • Responsible for managing multiple, broad and highly complex teams and/or projects which are diverse in scope

  • Sets direction at an operational level, works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals

  • Directs/manages large-scale applications / systems / projects across multiple product lines / businesses, involving significant scope and complexity

  • Directs/manages a large group (e.g., up to 50) of IT professionals

  • Understands strategic direction (including financials) and champions alliances to benefit the Bank, advocates for operational improvements to enhance value to the organization

  • Directs the development of resolutions, plans and strategies for operational advancement

  • Key contact internally and externally

Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate

  • Graduate degree, preferred

  • 10+ years relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Infrastructure or Security technology domains in a delivery or operational capacity

  • Experience leading or managing technology teams

  • Experience with Network, IAM & Cloud technologies

  • Experience with CICD framework and common DevOps tools and technologies used for orchestration, automated configuration, containers and container orchestration.

  • Certified Professionals with relevant Cloud Certifications in Azure, AWS, and GCP

  • Certified Professionals with relevant Network Certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, PCNSE

  • CISSP, CISM, or other security industry certifications
