Robert Half Paralegal in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Description We are on the lookout for a skilled Litigation Paralegal, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role involves supporting legal proceedings, primarily focusing on product liability cases. The successful candidate will be expected to manage case files, draft legal documents, and work closely with attorneys to prepare for trials. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings.

• Manage case files and document information, including drafting and indexing legal documents for attorney review.

• Schedule and calendar legal proceedings, deadlines, and reminders.

• Utilize case management software to keep track of all ongoing and future litigation cases.

• Use LexisNexis for legal research and during the discovery process.

• Create and organize paper files for all necessary legal documents.

• Request and manage medical records required for personal injury litigation.

• Handle e-Filing and court filings in a timely and organized manner.

• Maintain proficiency in professional standard software like Microsoft Excel for scheduling and calendar management.

• Utilize litigation experience to support the team in handling complex cases and preparing for trial. Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience working as a Paralegal

• Proficiency in using Case Management Software

• Familiarity with LexisNexis

• Experience with Management Systems

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Ability to manage calendars efficiently

• Previous experience in Litigation, particularly Litigation ParaLegal

• Knowledge of Litigation Documents and Personal Injury Litigation

• Ability to e-File and e-Filing

• Experience in drafting legal documents

• Familiar with litigation filing and court filings

• Experience in trial preparation and has trial experience

• Knowledge of Personal Injury Plaintiff

• Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or a related field is preferred

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
