Robert Half Accounting Specialist in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Credit Clerk in the manufacturing industry, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, primarily focusing on customer credit applications, maintaining credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. This role is also responsible for monitoring customer credit accounts and taking necessary actions to collect delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain precise customer credit records

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect delinquent payments

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all cash and credit card accounts

• Organize invoices and checks to substantiate business transactions

• Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and total accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases

• Identify, approve, and record customer chargebacks, and identify discrepancies between invoicing and customer payments

• Conduct AR and AP aging reviews, perform related account analysis, and follow up as needed

• Manage Accounts Receivable Collections, including communication with assigned customers Requirements • Must possess skills in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is required

• Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Experience in Billing is essential

• Must have strong Data Entry skills

• Proficiency in Invoice Processing is expected

• Must be skilled in using Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle software is a plus

• Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software is preferred

• Proficiency in SAP is beneficial

• Must have previous experience in a manufacturing environment

• Requires a strong understanding of standard accounting principles

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary

• Must have a high level of attention to detail

• Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred, but not required

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive information

• Proficiency in other accounting software is a plus

• Must be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
