Summary About the Position: Position may be filled as a Temporary Promotion not to exceed 2 years by a current permanent Army Employee. Responsibilities Manage Regional Operations Branch that coordinate plans and executes eligible international partner security cooperation education and training requirements. First line supervisor, setting and adjusting priorities, preparing work schedules to ensure timely and accurate completion of work assignments. Advise and assist subordinates by providing recommendations and guidance as it relates to international student management and training program execution. Assist countries in the development of their security cooperation education and training plans to include programming applicable courses and International Military Students (IMS) Data. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education and Training Leadership Planning and Evaluating Teaching Others Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position cannot be made permanent.
