Ute Tribe Social Services is looking for a Registered Nurse whose primary duty is to schedule, coordinate and oversee children's mental health, medical, vision and dental ensuring that all needs are being met for children in UFS custody

• Demonstrates profound nursing judgement and decision making with respect to children in UFS custody ensuring all of their health care needs are being met.
• Ensures that children in UFS custody are current on immunizations, yearly health checkups, physicals, hearing screenings, vision and dental.
• Ensures health care is completed, including follow-ups and in particular circumstances ongoing healthcare care.
• Gather medical information from families and obtain medical records as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely record of each client's health history including immunizations, medical/surgical history, on-going healthcare, etc.
• Maintain record of each client's providers such as therapist, dentist, optometrist, pediatrician, and any other provider providing care to the child
• Demonstrates profound knowledge in pharmaceuticals, will oversee client's medication prescriptions safeguarding child's best interest and document all prescriptions utilized  Conducts hospital and home visits that are within the nursing scope practice as appropriate Participates in family team and case reviews as requested
• Collaborates with providers, agencies, families and placements to ensure child's health care and services are being met
• Provides healthcare information and training to children, families and placements as requested or needed
• Maintain communication with clientele, service providers and UFS staff  Other as directed by supervisor
