This position is responsible for preparing and cooking food for Black Bear Restaurant at Indian Lodge State Park. Cooks food menu items when orders are received and prepares food for large group meals. Cleans kitchen, walk-ins, and work areas. Identifies areas in need of correction or improvement, and makes recommendations for enhancement operating efficiency. Reports kitchen equipment in need of repair or replacement. Maintains inventory of food and supplies and prepares requisitions for needed items as appropriate. Completes daily reports. May provide guidance to others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduation from High School or GED. Experience: One year experience in food preparation in a full-service restaurant, cooking for menu preparation, and groups. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure: A valid/current Department of State Health Services Food Handler Certificate.
