Responsibilities: Work closely with colleagues and development engineers to understand product specifications and author test cases and test plans that meet or exceed the product requirements. Expand the scope of test coverage through development of new tests as part of the teams ongoing test improvement goals. Execute Lustre file system Scale and Performance test cases on HPC storage hardware in a Cray Supercomputing environment. Create detailed Jira tickets for problems encountered during testing. Collaborate with developers on problem reproduction and debugging. Build and install development code as part of fix verification as needed. Provide domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities. Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the systems design organization. Ideal candidates will be empowered to complete sometimes ambiguous tasks with autonomy and good technical judgement.

Knowledge and Skills: Experience with compute server or storage product support required. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems required. Proficiency in Bash Shell, Perl, and Python programming languages required. Knowledge in C programming language a plus. Linux Administrator experience preferred, UNIX experience desirable. Filesystem experience a plus. Lustre experience a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly required. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with computer hardware installation and maintenance required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required. Experience with HPC & AI computing desired. Evaluating processes for systems design and validation methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools desired. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to mentor and work independently. Familiarity with industry-standard IT security and compliance requirements.
