Trideum Corporation Strategic Planner in Fort Belvoir, Virginia

Trideum Corporationhas an opening for aStrategic Plannersupporting theArmy Modeling and Simulation Office (AMSO). This is a full time position, located at Ft Belvoir, VA.

Duties:Provide the Army Modeling and Simulation Office assistance with analysis, assessments, and recommendations for identifying training gaps across all of the Army communities, assess program requirements to develop comprehensive plans and recommend viable options to develop potential solutions for identified training gaps across the Army Enterprise. Conduct intermediate level training to the Army's Military and Civilian work force. Provide analysis to ensure alignment and synchronization of AMSO client mission areas and priorities with national requirements. Act as a conference planner and facilitator, compiling products, including cost analyses, conference agenda, and key after-actions strategic planning documents to enable tracking of key actions and future planning.Continually review, develop, update, and provide oversight to the instructional methodologies and reference materials employed in the school's courses and recommend/implement changes as required.Coordinate and synchronize all material and resources for the courses. Responsible for education analysis, courseware development, and instruction in order to provide education and training solutions for the Total Army Workforce in the area of Modeling and Simulation. Prepare and write training support packages, lesson plans, and supporting instructional material. Additional duties include researching, analyzing and articulating, both orally and in writing, solutions for life cycle DOTMLPF issues in support of US Army Functional Area 57 (FA57) and Department of the Army Civilian Career Program 36 (CP 36).

  • Assist in modeling and simulation capability portfolio reviews to capture Army Community gaps.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to define and scope modeling and simulation gaps in the areas of Intelligence and Sensors, and document course of action to close the gap and meet Army needs.
  • Support the Intelligence and Sensors gap leads with working group forums, gap and discussion documentation, presentation development, working group communications, and updating the AMSO SharePoint site with working group documentation.
  • Develop weekly reports of actions completed by the division, upcoming events, and noteworthy items to communicate with leadership.
  • Develop monthly reports of personal actions completed and the results.
  • Assist as needed on the following projects:
    • Writing, reviewing, and updating the Army Regulation 5-11
    • Writing, reviewing, and updating the Department of the Army Pamphlet 5-11
    • Army Modeling and Simulations Awards update standard operating procedures, excel evaluation matrix, SharePoint survey, post updates to the SimOps milBook site.
    • Presentation development for conferences, to include but not limited to: The Army Operations Research Symposium (AORS), the Military Operations Research Society Symposium (MORSS), and the Interservice / Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC).

Required Qualifications:

  • Possess a secret clearance.
  • BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience working issues across the Army's MandS communities.
  • Experience with facilitating government conferences and knowledge of staff operations and processes
  • Experience with the research, development and revision of training courses and preparation of appropriate training materials. Leads/Assists with the preparation of all instructor materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course evaluation forms).
  • Provide expert technical advice and guidance to the FA57/CP36 on the planning, programming and technical methodologies for the MandS implementation efforts.
  • Knowledge of the interrelatio ships between MandS community of expertise and other communities
  • Ability to develop point papers, briefings and presentations, and make formal oral presentations of these materials to all levels of government personnel, including GO and civilian equivalent
  • Using Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to analyze data, track progress/changes, and communicate results.
  • Communicating project updates and results via emails, weekly reports, briefings, and white papers.
  • Understanding the organization of the Army (Army Communities).
  • Experience with the use of modeling and simulation in one or more of the methods utilized by the Army (e.g. training, testing, evaluation, analysis, system acquisition).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Possession of excellent organizational, technical, analytical, and qualitatively and quantitatively critical thinking skills
  • Conduct coordination and collaboration across the government, academia and industry to research models and simulations that reflect the changes to and the complexity of the operational environment for use in training and combat developments.
  • 5+ years of experience in the use of distributive simulations in support of Army and Joint Live, virtual, constructive (LVC) training exercises/events and mission rehearsals exercises.
  • War College or equivalent graduate
  • MBA, MA or MS degree preferred; PHD degree a plus.
  • Ability to use SharePoint and manage user access.
  • The usage of modeling and simulation in each Army Community.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the role of the U.S. Army Modeling and Simulation Office.
