Plexus Scientific Corporation Strategic and Sustainability Planner in Fort Belvoir, Virginia

Position: Strategic andSustainability Planner

Location: Fort Belvoir, Virginia(Would like to consider remote.)

Responsibilities, Areas of Experience and Duties May Include:

  • Familiarity with environmental, sustainability, water, waste, energy and resiliency policies and executive orders
  • Support Team Lead in facilitating strategic plan development sessions and implementing execution plans
  • Development and preparation of digital material for meetings, conferences and executive level briefings
  • Development of executive level summaries of significant team activities
  • Develop award narratives for federal level awards programs as well as internal recognition programs
  • Provide editing and formatting support for all material in compliance with guidelines and regulations
  • Provide onsite and remote logistical and planning support for strategic planning sessions, events, workshops, training programs and conferences
  • Develop and manage standard operating procedures for programs and projects

Education, Skills, Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science or related degree preferred
  • Possess knowledge of general sustainability and resiliency concepts in energy, water, waste, natural resources, cultural resources and environmental compliance
  • Possess knowledge of general strategic planning approaches and concepts
  • Possess experience in facilitating teams in person and virtually
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in energy, sustainability or related environmental field
  • Experience with Army and Department of Defense, a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including editing skills
  • Ability to participate as a team member or work independently as needed with little oversight while maintaining accountability of required deliverables
  • Experience working with the suite of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working in SharePoint a plus
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment with ever changing needs
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills are a must
  • Travel anticipated approximately 12 times per year
