BAE Systems Senior Program Manager in Fort Belvoir, Virginia

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia supporting Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA) efforts to implement the architecture, required services, and facilitate Army adoption of the DoD Cloud services under the Armys Cloud Enterprise Technology Services (CETS) contract. The CETS program provides Information Technology services and technical subject matter expertise (SME) to support overall strategy and migration to the Army cloud (cARMY) environment that currently includes Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure clouds at IL 2, 4, 5 and 6.

The successful candidate manages, coordinates, plans, organizes, controls, integrates, and executes technical and functional support required for the CETS program including progress/status reporting, creating schedules, integration, and program reviews. Maintains full authority to act on all matters relating to daily operation of the program. Ensures achievement of financial, schedule, and technical performance objectives. Prepares project execution plan and identifies technical and business resources needed. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules and prepares status reports, Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Direct people-management responsibility is required, models and demonstrates strong leadership in ethics, safety and security. Responsible for the hiring, firing, and management of employees, performance of the work.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field and 12 years working experience, or equivalent experience; candidates with Armed Forces courses or associate degree, extensive certification, and additional experience are highly encouraged to apply.

  • Ten years managerial experience on US Army, or DoD programs and projects that provided expert software O&M of Army enterprise systems.

  • Five years of experience providing program or project management of Government IT programs/systems and providing support to business objectives.

  • Three years within the past five years of experience in managing complex systems.

  • Three years within the past five years of experience defining organizational project cloud migration objectives and requirements that map to enterprise cloud vision and/or initiatives, establishing system architecture, ensuring IA compliance, directing, coordinating, and completing project efforts, interfacing with Government personnel, and providing progress reports.

  • Three years within the past five years of experience managing enterprise IT projects in an operational, multi-tenant environment on commercial cloud service providers (CSP) (Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure).

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • DoDM 8140.03 (former DoD 8570.01-M) foundational qualification option at a basic level within 9 months of starting position.

  • Must be located within 75 miles of ECMA at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

  • Must be available (or designated alternate) between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed for administrative reasons.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.

  • ITILv4 Foundation

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
