Job Description

Support the Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) G-6 to work directly with project leadership to manage requirements and scope projects to ensure Special Access Program (SAP) projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) and the definitive source of knowledge, technique, or expertise.

  • Translate business requirements and processes into low-friction automation and high-impact systems.

  • Regularly provide the government with project status updates and convey any complications.

  • Lead DoD IPTs and WGs

  • Function as the expert in the required knowledge area, and applies expertise to support the organization's vision and strategic direction

  • Supports and assumes duties of the PM as DPM as required

Qualifications:

  • PMP

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity

  • Experience with Telecommunications and IT policy formulation

  • Experience reporting to senior government officials and department heads

Desired:

  • Possess familiarity with Army SAP operations.

  • Recent (within last two years) experience with Insider Threat solution deployment

  • Engineering or architecture experience with Commercial Cloud services

  • Technical writing and detailed documentation of networks, systems, applications, and personnel procedures

  • Possess the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Possess the ability to work within a diverse workforce made up of both civilian and military personnel

  • Knowledge of MS Suite

  • Self-motivated

  • Possess the ability to evaluate current and emerging technology.

Education:?M.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline or equivalent work experience OR ten years of additional applied work experience

Years Experience:Approximately 10 years as an IT Project Manager with a BA/BS degree in IT related field

  • Normal Office Environment. Requires Sitting, Standing, Near Acuity, Speaking with colleagues and customers, Listening, Sight, Use of hands/fingers.
