SOS International LLC Junior Systems Administrator in Fort Belvoir, Virginia

Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to join our team in support of our government customer. The administrator will be supporting a mostly Microsoft centric environment.

Essential Job Duties

  • Respond to and resolve IT support requests and incidents.

  • Perform security remediation scans of Window Servers. Remediate issues as they come up.

  • Work with the database and developer teams in support of GOT applications.

  • Work with hard vendors to repair servers and other equipment.

  • Make recommendations for the improvement of processes, procedures, and technologies to better support the work environment.

  • Provide technical support during product demonstrations, conduct training of Government end users, and provide solutions to end user application problems.

  • Provide feedback generated from problem/incident trend analysis to the application team to enhance application user experience.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience (4yrs).

  • A minimum of 2 years of specialized IT customer support experience ideally in a DoD software/application environment.

  • If using equivalent experience, a total of 4yrs plus the 2yrs of specialized experience is required for a total of 6yrs.

  • An active in scope Top Secret security clearance or Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret.

  • Knowledgeable about the best practices for providing support to GOTS applications.

  • Security + CE or equivalent certifications for IAT-II IAW DoD 8570.01-M (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Windows 2019/2022.

  • Experience with virtual environments or cloud-based technologies and services.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with government clients and internal stakeholders of all levels.

  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, policies, and procedures.

Work Environment

  • Normal office conditions

  • Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 - 1700

  • On government site within Ft. Belvoir, VA
