Defense Logistics Agency CYS Services Program Specialist in Fort Belvoir, Virginia

Please Note: Upon hiring, member must reside within 100 miles / 2 hour from the Ft. Belvoir HQ Complex. Responsibilities Serves as program specialist within DLA Child and Youth Program. Helps to develop plans and operational materials for DLA-wide implementation of child and youth programs. Provides administrative, logistical, and technology support in furtherance of the DLA mission. Executes DLA effort to provide technical assistance through training workshops, process action teams, on-site visits, and inspections. Assists in developing and communicating the strategic/key messages for CYP programs through the written/visual mediums (Such as information and staff papers, slides, reports, fliers, and brochures). Develops contract specifications for program materials and services. Performs electronic file management and updates the professional resource library materials pertinent to the DLA mission. Assumes other duties as assigned to support DLA operations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Standard Qualifications: Work experience directly related to the duties to be performed. Documented experience must have been equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower grade/level to include the following: Experience in child and youth program operations, interface with personnel, funding, social services proponents, and related community organizations. Ability demonstrated through experience to evaluate established program standards and compliance with benchmark criteria and applicable policies and procedures. Experience in planning and conducting training for child and youth staff. Demonstrated ability to develop and present formal briefings, information papers, and slide presentations. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Highly Qualified: Knowledge of CYP Early Childhood accreditation processes. Five (5) or more years experience as a Facility Director of a medium or large CDC. Exposure to Higher Headquarters Inspections (HHI) process Undergraduate degree in related field preferred. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
