Your role at Clorox:

Job Summary: The Atlanta West Plant is posting for a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler. The individual will be responsible for coordinating maintenance functions for assigned areas to maximize the usefulness, efficiency, effectiveness, and life expectancy of plant assets. Ensures effective planning, estimating, scheduling and coordination of all scheduled maintenance work, including preventive maintenance, scheduled repairs, overhauls, and project work performed by both technical and operating personnel. Works with technical personnel in multiple departments (engineering, maintenance, packaging, etc.), TPOs, plant maintenance management, packaging management, production planning, purchasing, and vendors in the performance of their job. The individual in this position may be called upon to work on special assignments and help to drive a zero-loss culture. This individual must be a self-starter, effectively influence peers, and have demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills.

Schedule:

• Plant is 24/7 Operation

• 8-hour shift needed to support operations

• Flexibility required for off-shifts and some weekends may be included

• Shift schedule dependent on business needs

In this role, you will:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages preventive maintenance task lists and plans.

  • Generates list of preventive work due each week.

  • Manages plant master data for SAP (equipment, parts, PMs, and personnel records).

  • Reviews work requests (notifications) and creates work orders, plans work (details what is to be done, parts, labor hours, skills, # of people needed, downtime expected, special tools required, and procedures applicable.) Schedules work based on work priority, equipment availability, and available personnel.

  • Maintains accuracy of equipment BOMs.

  • Facilitates weekly maintenance scheduling meeting for given area and posts maintenance work schedule following the meeting.

  • Coordinates investigation of breakdowns to identify needed action to prevent repetition. Reviews equipment history for failures and emergency repairs with concerned parties and modifies PM procedures as needed.

  • Develops relationships with equipment vendors to understand

  • Provides input into spare part stocking decisions based on usage, criticality, risk, cost, and operating maintenance budget planning.

  • Follow-up on jobs to check planning and scheduling accuracy.

  • Hourly wage $40.48

  • Strong computer skills with SAP, and Microsoft Office

  • Detail-oriented, willingness to learn, creativity, and sense of urgency

  • Strong commitment to plant’s non-negotiables, OGSM, GME principles, MVP, and company’s core values

  • Ability to operate fax machines, copiers, as well as voice mail and e-mail system

Education and Work Experience:

  • Experience with SAP

  • 5 years of manufacturing experience

  • 3 years of maintenance experience

  • Strong knowledge of packaging and process equipment

  • High school diploma or GED
