Role Summary

You will act as the technical interface both internally and externally for the products you lead. The successful Technical Lead Engineer will be a leader with excellent communications skills to effectively collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to proactively and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration. This posit ion is within the Forest Factory Engineering department at Raytheon and will support multiple programs under the Integrated RF Product. This position is at our RF Technology Center in Forest, Mississippi. Our location offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting edge technology without the high cost of living and congestion of major metropolitan areas.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a team of multi-disciplinary engineers in completing aspects of Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing and Test activities for the factory

  • Lead RCCA teams and investigations

  • Communicate with factory and program personnel in the day to day engineering activities

  • Mentor junior engineers

  • Support collaborative efforts between factory and program teams

  • Lead engineering tasking for IPDS, EACs, and bidding activities

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience leading and supporting Development, Production and/ or Test of electrical sub-systems in a manufacturing environment.

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

  • Proven experience leading and coordinating across multiple functions and/ or engineering disciplines.

  • Leadership of small technical teams, including technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, and preparation of detailed technical team reports

  • Ability to understand and interpret contract requirements, program schedule, and cost data.

  • Excellent communication skills including report writing and presentations.

  • Demonstrated experience of mentoring and developing junior team members

  • Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative team environment, while motivating the team to execute the program schedule.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Working knowledge of Next Generation Jammer systems/sub-systems

  • Experience performing and supporting RCCA investigations.

  • Working knowledge of engineering support to material purchasing for test equipment and supplies

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
