Teamvantage, a Velosity Company is searching for a Human Resources Intern. The Human Resources Intern is responsible for assisting the HR Department with hands-on, day-to-day work related to activities such as implementation of an electronic file management system, community events, and record keeping for compliance. This is an on-site position supporting our Forest Lake location. This role will be full time during summer hours, and part time hybrid during the school year. Valid identification and ability to work legally in the United States Minimum of 1-3 years' of experience in an office environment; preferably in a manufacturing environment The ability to multitask; communicate with other departments, employees and customers in a professional and respectful manner Basic computer skills Knowledge of Human Resources practices Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and business operating systems Essential Functions: Assist in the implementation of an electronic file management system; Maintain employee, I-9, and all other human resources files. Create Interview guide; assist with recruiting and/or interviewing Provide support in COVID-19 compliance initiatives including but not limited to; vaccination status record keeping, ensuring necessary consent forms are completed, and setting up test sites. Travel between three business locations to conduct COVID-19 test Work with the HR Coordinator to establish a revised associate conversion program Assist in coordinating employee communication and activities such as employee recognition, family picnic and wellness activities Participate on the safety committee Other duties as assigned Working Conditions: Physical: Walking is required within the office/shop areas. Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance. Must be able to lift 10 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment. Mental: Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner; Ability to make decisions with limited information Velosity is a non-smoking, climate controlled, professional injection molding facility with normal lighting. This position may be required to move throughout the shop and office and may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in an injection molding facility.
