Custom Mold and Design is searching for a Buyer II on 1st shift to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN. This position will be experienced level in the professional Buyer series. Under direction within a framework of established policies and procedures, incumbents are fully competent, with a high level of accuracy, to perform the full range of assigned tasks. Building vendor relationships in negotiating quality, quantity, pricing, shipping costs, and on-site audit review. Become a resource for Engineering and Quality via sourcing of materials. There is significant latitude for independent judgment and action in well-defined areas of work. This is an on-site position. The typical pay range for this role: $25.00 - $37.50 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, internal equity and other relevant factors. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Supply Management, Purchasing, Business Administration, or a closely related field AND two (2+) years of procurement experience. Knowledge of accepted purchasing practices; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and business operating system, IQMS preferred. Minimum 2+ years purchasing experience preferred. Essential Duties: Analyze requirements, requisitions, and place Purchase Orders as necessary. Monitors acknowledgements, delivery, and certifications. Maintains item pricing and communicates changes to Sales and Accounting. Continuous improvement. Negotiate business unit agreements and vendor agreements Make sourcing recommendations of raw materials and vendors All other tasks as assigned. Work Conditions & Physical Demands: This is a non-smoking, professional tool shop with normal lighting, climate control. The shop environment may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in a tool making and/or molding shop.
