Arconic Outside Process Coordinator in Fontana, California
Under the direction of the OSP Supervisor, the OSP Coordinator plans, executes and prioritizes the scheduling of a variety of machining process’ on materials produced by Forge Metals. Coordinates Delivery and Quality activities involved in subcontracting work assigned to the OSP vendors. Prioritizes FMI parts being processed at outside vendors to match with FMI’s internal commitments to its customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be required and assigned at any time.
PreparesPO’s in VISUAL for products being processed by outside vendors utilizing established procedures.
Provides dimensional inspection reports for each and every job upon completion.
Works directly with the M/S Supervisor to coordinate the removal of Test Prolongs, Test Integrals, Test Forgings along with parting, which is sometimes required.
Coordinates with OSP Vendor drivers to ensure all test pieces removed from FMI and parts are matched to an FMI PO.
Prioritizes work at OSP vendors to ensure FMI customer commitment dates are met.
Reviews operational inventory and reports throughput/velocity for appropriate department.
Updates WIP schedule with expected due date from vendors for process being performed.
Must have understanding and knowledge of company quality system, procedures and work instructions.
Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or Equivalent; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with an ISO9001 environment.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Working knowledge and demonstrated use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and MRP systems
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must be certified to operate a forklift to approved O.S.H.A. standards.
