A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CLASS A CDL TRUCK DRIVER As a Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles to transport equipment and materials between our branches and job sites. Your duties will include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety and readiness of the vehicle, maintaining accurate delivery logs, and ensuring the cleanliness and proper maintenance of your truck. You will navigate local streets and highways while strictly adhering to safety protocols. You must be willing to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed. The position also requires you to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively, perform physical tasks such as bending and kneeling, and be comfortable driving for long stretches. A valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record are mandatory. JOB REQUIREMENTS A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A Class A Commercial Driver\'s License (CDL) is necessary, with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred. The candidate must be able to maintain a Class A CDL and an excellent driving record. There is a requirement to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 60 days of employment. A minimum of 1 year of experience driving a semi-tractor and trailer is required. The role involves lifting a minimum of 50 pounds repetitively, as well as reaching overhead, bending, kneeling, and twisting. The ability to walk long distances, drive for extended periods, and travel between branches and job sites is essential. The job requires working in outdoor environments and extreme weather conditions, as well as being willing to work in potentially hazardous environments near traffic. Flexibility in working varying shifts and overtime as necessary is expected. Adherence to all company policies, procedures, and processes for safe and successful project completion is required.
