Our client, the leading global supplier of aerospace products in Foley, Alabama is seeking an experienced warehouse material handler to join their team. As a material handler, you will be part of the stockroom operations team supporting the production and assembly operation. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, time management, and knowledge in the aerospace industry all of which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Foley, Alabama

Pay Range: $16/hr-$19/hr

What’s the Job?

• Responsible for physical inventory movement supporting assembly operations; Review and inspect products for damage

• Responsible for receiving, verifying and posting parts to SAP with the ability to notate/identify any discrepancies

• This position provides a vital role in the success of the production and assembly operation at the facility

• You will also be contributing to the final assembly of the parts for the customers; Powered industrial vehicles and power tools are utilized daily

• Accurately verify product received and be able to reconcile/notate any damages/discrepancies in the SAP system when reviewing against packing slips

What’s Needed?

• Experience in a warehouse, material handling or production environment, preferably in a lead role.

• Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) material handling via SAP and Microsoft Excel; Ability to move product with powered warehouse vehicles, keep track of inventory and maintain awareness of production rates and part requirements

• Fill tilt bins, kanbans and stock parts using Point of Use (POU); Maintain POU kit carts and make suggestions for continuous improvement

• Attend and influence CORE/CI (Kaizen) events and obtain CORE Apprentice Certification

• Lean Sigma Six knowledge and practices utilizing lean manufactering tools to improve processes
