Ultrasonographer, PRN

The Radiology team is looking for a Radiographer to join the team. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Flower Mound, 4400 Long Prairie Road, Flower Mound TX 75028

Work hours: PRN; shifts are as needed working a rotating schedule consisting of days and nights

Here’s What You Need

Education

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required

Other Graduate of an AMA approved / accredited Ultrasound Program Preferred

Associate's Degree Preferred

Experience

1 Year experience in a hospital setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography Upon Hire Preferred And

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography 12 Months Required Or

ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers Upon Hire Preferred And

ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers 12 Months Required

Skills

Competency in scanning/equipment operation. Excellent Communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize.

What You Will Do

Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to and during exam.

Images correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols.

Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.

Adjusts ultrasound parameters appropriately for quality images.

Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.

Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, suggest differential diagnosis.
