Job Title: Construction Sealants Roof Coating Regional Account Manager

Summary:As part of Momentive’s Construction team, the Regional Roof Account Manager will manage a sales territory narrowly focused on the silicone roof coating market covering the U.S. and Canada. This individual will sell our GE-branded Enduris* silicone roof coating product line through a variety of channels and be responsible for exceeding annual targets for sales and margin dollars. They will be the primary contact for buying customers as well as key industry associates within their territory while working closely with Marketing, Field Tech and other Momentive functional support teams to achieve success. The position will weigh heavily on distribution, and therefore will require the ability to coordinate field activities, promote our products, and work with our distributors to do the same. This person may need to develop, train, and manage a team of independent representatives in select markets to support sales and service efforts in local geographies and ensure distributors achieve success.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and execute a growth plan that utilizes distribution channels to succeed. Utilize knowledge of regional commercial construction projects and work with consultants, architects, engineers, general contractors & sub-contractors to secure multiple products on those projects.

  • Success will be related to the roof market and industry relationships. As such, you must identify and win key relationships with consultants, architects, general contractors, and sub-contractors, earn their upcoming business, and coordinate activities between these people and our Distributors, Manufacturer's Representatives & Field Technical Engineers.

  • Meet business growth expectations by developing new accounts, winning additional business with existing accounts, and selling new products into assigned accounts and target customers.

  • Win inclusion in architectural firm specifications impacting projects in your region. Lead and coordinate others to support this initiative.

  • Conduct onsite job visits, investigations & product testing. Candidate must be able to ride in a man-lift and be comfortable on commercial roofs at various heights while always maintaining a safety-first mindset.

  • Generate professionally written proposals & technical documents, prepare and deliver sales presentations, plan customer meetings, and demonstrate product capabilities persuasively and effectively.

  • In coordination with the Sales Manager, manage local manufacturing representative (s) to ensure they achieve goals and objectives in line with our strategy. Ensure their performance is maximized and justifies the cost.

  • Administrative responsibilities include field reports, price implementation, demand forecasting, expense reporting, professionally written correspondence, and coordinating certain activities and customer needs with customer service. Candidate must be well organized and be able to manage multiple tasks and objective goals to ensure progress and completion on time and in full.

  • Tracking large construction projects

  • Coordinate activities between the Architect, Consultant, GC, and all possible sub-contractors on that project. Work closely with our external sales partners, internal field technical support, customer service associates, product management, and supply chain to bring these activities together.

  • Extensive travel within the U.S. and Canada will be required (60%).

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • BS or BA

  • Minimum 5 years of experience selling in a business-to-business role within the roofing industry.

  • Performance and achievement-oriented with an expectation of winning and a proven track record.

  • Strong technical capabilities.

  • Exceptional leadership, team building, account management, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (written and verbal) with a proven track record of success.

  • Must understand performance differences between our product portfolio and competitive products and persuasively demonstrate this.

  • Ability to learn the technical language and processes of the construction industry.

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills are a must.

  • Solid and efficient PC-based computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and act with urgency and timeliness.

Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear, use hands to type, handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribe, view a computer terminal, and do extensive reading. May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and move a light to medium weight. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and learn technical information. Light lifting is required.

What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $90,500.00 - $132,550.00

The actua l salary offered i s determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill set s, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable . Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
