WestRock Company Maintenance Planner in Florence, South Carolina
Area of Focus:
The Maintenance Planner coordinates the use of personnel, materials, and machine downtime to maintain production equipment availability and performance at satisfactory levels through the planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting of repair activities. This position reports to the Planning Superintendent.
How you will impact WestRock:
Initial screening of incoming work orders, scope identification, determination of basic job requirements and planning requirements
Prepares job packages for craftsmen with detailed information to facilitate efficient and safe work implementation
Preview, audit, and review repairs under work order process
Ensure appropriate documentation is completed at job completion
Plan and schedule unit outages using Microsoft Project
Leads the organization and review of outage work into one integrated schedule
Orders specific parts and materials needed for planned repair work
Develops scope of work, solicitation of bids, contract, and coordination of work.
Operates within the Smurfit Westrock planning systems, with a mindset of continuous improvement.
Manage equipment bill of materials in CMMS
Management of work order backlog
Interface with all operating departments
Support and foster safety and environmental compliance
What you need to succeed:
High School Diploma or GED - required, Bachelor\u2019s degree - preferred
5+ years of experience within the Pulp and Paper industry is preferred
Must have experience with project management, planning, predictive, and preventative maintenance programs.
JDE, MS Project, Word, Excel experience, preferred
Supervisory or management experience, preferred
