Job Title: Manager – Controller

Division: Finance Operations - Florence, KY Manufacturing

Location: Florence, KY

Reports To: Director- Finance Operations

What You Will Do:

Supplies management with the analyses necessary for the effective management of the plant. Warns of any potential deviations or risks in terms of results. Identifies key areas of improvement, provides alternatives sources for cost savings to enhance the plant performance. Enforces the deadlines for end-of-month, trend, budget and three-year plan reporting.

  • Indirect/Overhead Cost Control

  • Analysis of Efficiency & Rate with assistance from Labor / Operations

  • Units and Absorption reporting (rotational with entire team)

  • Purchase Order (PO) approval and management

  • Purchasing related internal controls

  • Monthly Reporting

  • Leads purchasing function at the plant level (other than direct)

  • Creates any and all chargebacks resulting from operations

  • Collaborator with other sites and divisions to ensure best practice implementation and best in class reporting

  • Financial support and analysis for monthly results, financial trends, and budget

  • Responsible for daily reporting and performance measurement for the site

  • Directly manage two (2) employees

    What We Are Looking For:

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business required

  • 5+ years related experience and/or training

  • Highly proficient in Excel; SAP experience a plus

  • Ability to successfully interact with business colleagues

  • Sound collaboration skills to build and maintain relationships with external and internal partners

  • Independent problem-solving and thorough analytical skills; self-motivated, self-directed and flexible individual

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to successfully handle multiple concurrent tasks

  • Well-developed communication (verbal and written) and strong influencing skills at multiple levels

  • Must be a self-starter with a desire to promote and implement continuous improvement endeavors

  • Must be able to work in a dynamic and changing environment

  • Must be able to communicate accounting matters with all organizational levels and parties, including auditors and vendors

  • Must be able to sit or stand at desk for extended periods. Occasional long periods of standing and walking

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred

  • Certificate in Accounting helpful (Chartered/CMA/CPA/CIA)

  • Experience in audit (internal or external) helpful
