Rite of Passage is a leading national provider of programs and opportunities for troubled and at-risk youth from social services, welfare agencies and juvenile courts. At Rite Care, we will be providing afterschool intervention to at-risk youth. Students will report to the ELC to particiapte in evidence based groups, skill building, tutoring, mentoring, case management and other structured activies during the time of day that is the highest risk for anti-social behaviors. Rite Care will operate as a diversion program for youth at risk of becoming involved in the Juvenile Justice System, or those who are currently involved and need additional community support.

Daily Expectations and Responsibilities

The Therapist is a member of the Rite Care Team and is responsible for leading groups and the day-to-day monitoring, contact and supervision of the youth assigned to the Program. This position reports to the Program Manager or Director and serves as a leader amoung the site team and community specialist. Working hours will be between 1pm-9pm. Occasional weekends may be necessary for special events.

Requirements:

  • Must possess the education and current specific licensure required per licensing. Bachelors Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred and licensure in the field of mental health as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or related.

  • Have one year of prior experienceworking with at-risk juveniles and their families, or other related experience.

  • Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen (we no longer test for THC), physical, and TB test.
