Robert Half Medical Customer Service Rep in Fishers, Indiana

Description

The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is looking for contract to hire employment opportunity in Fishers, Indiana, for a Medical Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be working directly with patients and their families, providing excellent customer service and follow-up. This role will also involve managing patient accounts and financial responsibilities, as well as utilizing in-house technology to improve workflow and develop new solutions.

Hours for the position: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities for the position include the following:

  • Provides exceptional follow-up care: Ensures patients and families understand their financial obligations after treatment.

  • Manages patient finances: Implements patient budgets, posts payments, and assists self-pay patients with financial aid or payment plans.

  • Resolves patient inquiries: Works directly with patients to address questions and concerns regarding billing and payments.

  • Investigates and solves issues: Troubleshoots all patient and payment-related needs, including communication and insurance verification.

  • Optimizes workflows: Collaborates with the team to leverage technology for improved processes and solutions.

  • Supports financial management: Assists with implementing patient budgets and posting payments to accounts.

    Requirements

• Proven experience in a Call Center Customer Service role

• Excellent customer service skills with a patient and empathetic approach

• Ability to handle High Volume Call Center environments, managing multiple queries simultaneously

• Familiarity with Medical Claims processing and related procedures

• Understanding of Patient Financial matters, including billing and payment processes

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software

• Ability to work in a team-oriented setting

• Problem-solving skills to handle customer complaints and resolve issues

• High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality

• Willingness to engage in continuous learning and training opportunities.
