REPORTS TO: Assistant General Manager

FLSA STATUS: Salaried Exempt

This position is responsible for support of all Fishers Event Center technology functions on a day-to-day basis. This person will be responsible for identification, training, and support for all systems and applications needs of the Fisher Event Center’s staff, and will serve as a liaison with ASM Global Corporate Technology Departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support IT application needs for all ASM Global staff.

  • Deve lopment of protocols for staff technology usage.

  • Develop, configure, test, and troubleshoot advanced CATV systems and related software/h ardware components and infrastructure.

  • Assist in installation and maintenance of wired and wireless network and/or server/client solutions and related software/hardware components and infrastructure.

  • Troubleshooting and upgrading POS hardware, maintaining equipment transfer records, communicating with dispatchers, and solving technical problems.

  • Function as a liaison with ASM Global IT Department regarding corporate applications and systems issues.

  • Report creation and writing for business analysis purposes.

  • Assistance in development of marketing and business presentation technology-related projects.

  • Training and support for Microsoft Office usage by staff.

  • Identification and implementation of other software applications to enhance productivity and efficiency.

  • Provide necessary information for the proper purchase of preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment and systems.

  • Respond t o routi ne and emergency calls and make necessary repairs.

  • Provide event related maintenance, services, and support.

  • Troubleshooti ng of application and network problems.

  • All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience          

  • BA degree in Computer Sciences required .

  • At least 2 years of IT support experience.

    Skills and Abilities  

  • Strong knowledge of business office applications and systems.

  • Knowledge of report writing applications, including Crystal Reports , etc.

  • Must have communication skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to translate non-technical needs communication into technical development capabilities.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills.

  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.

  • Knowledge of wireless technology applications and interface availability.

  • Working knowledge of Palm OS and Windows CE c apabilities and support.

  • Proficiency i n Windows XP s upport.

  • Proficien cy in LAN and Windo ws NT support.

  • Extreme proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications .

    Preferred C ertificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional)

  • MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer)

  • MCSA (Microsoft Certified System Administrator)
