Salvation Army Healthcare Manager in Finlayson, Minnesota

The Salvation Army Northwoods Camp is hiring a Healthcare Manager. Position Summary The Camp Healthcare Manager oversees the health and safety of campers and staff. The Healthcare Manager will reside on-site at The Salvation Army Northern Division Northwoods Camp in Finlayson, MN for the duration of their temporary employment during summer camp. $700-$800 stipend 60402 Elbow Lake Rd, Finlayson, MN 55735 Essential Functions (approximate time spent) Provide healthcare to meet individual needs of campers and staff, including consulting with a licensed medical professional as needed (25%). Support and participate in all assigned camp programs and activities, including spiritual (15%). Organize, maintain, and utilize resources for serving the health and medical needs of campers and staff, including inventory, order requests, and stocking (10%). Maintain accurate and detailed medical records (10%). Oversee First Aid procedures and supplies (10%). Lead and conduct camper screenings upon arrival (10%). Support and participate in all assigned camp programs and activities, including spiritual (15%). Provide staff training on health and safety (5%). Supervise sanitary conditions throughout camp and ensure the health and safety of all (10%). Develop and maintain positive rapport with campers and colleagues, teach and model positive relational skills to campers (5%). Education and Experience Professional Rescuer and Standard First Aid. Degree in healthcare field highly preferred. In lieu of degree, Minnesota licensed RN, paramedic, CNA, PCA, etc. preferred. Experience working with children preferred. Must pass background checks. Competencies Demonstrated knowledge of emergency first aid and AEDs. Flexible interpersonal and communication skills. Self-starter with good attention to detail and initiative. Works with integrity, valuing honesty and diligence. Working Conditions Must be able to attend staff orientation week. Room and Board provided in addition to a biweekly stipend. Required to live on-site at Northwoods camp during the summer. Must be onsite at Northwoods Camp whenever campers are present. Be available 24 hours per day for emergency situations. Position is seasonal, approximately mid-June through July, includes nights and weekends. Perform all physical aspects of the position, including being mobile, bending, reaching, and lifting 25 pounds occasionally. Camp environment; not eligible for a remote-friendly work environment. Must be able to communicate clearly in English and work in person. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Travel Requirements None.
