Description 1st shift Team leader - Shipping/Receiving ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Scanning of staged shipments. * Loading and unloading of inbound and outbound trailers. * Staging loads * Taping/topping of skids as required * Creating of shippers/pool bills/customers' paperwork * Making Bar Code Labels * Checking DDL for processed ASN's * Sending ASN's * Label and repack as required. * Shipment verification, i.e. quantity, part, etc. * Handling of paperwork inbound/outbound and distribution to appropriate personnel. * Receiving of inbound materials and proper logging and procedure. * Coordinating with team members activity on the dock. * Responsible to monitor final dock audit. * Obtain and store skids, pallets, and dunnage, as required. * Operate powered industrial life truck in a safe manner at all times. * Move materials in amounts to avoid personal injury, or damage to equipment, material product, or the facility. * Proper storage and placement of purchased parts and other received materials. * Back-fill for Shipping Area Manager. * Removal of labels from inbound dunnage. * Weight count verification of required materials * Creating miscellaneous shippers for outside processing * Responsible for continuous improvement in the shipping and receiving area as well as material processes. * Train new or less experienced employees on the job. * Authorized to perform maintenance checks to make sure the Hi-Lo is in proper working condition. * Authorized to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems. * Report any safety or mechanical problems with the Hi-Lo to a supervisor. * Fill out daily Hi-Lo maintenance check off list. * Authorized to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformitites relating to product, process, and quality system. * Performs other essential functions as assigned. Requirements JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: College degree in business related field preferred.
