The University of Findlay PART-TIME GRAPHIC DESIGNER & CAMPUS PHOTOGRAPHER in Findlay, Ohio

The University of Findlay (www.findlay.edu) is seeking a part-time graphic designer & campus photographer. This position will assist the Executive Director of Marketing Communications and the Graphic Designer in executing marketing communications plans through proactive tactics that elevate the University's brand and strategic objectives, academic programs, and creative activities in various digital and traditional communications platforms. The position participates in project management and the ticketing system to address campus requests for graphic design for printed collateral materials, digital design needs, as well as serving as a backup photographer when necessary. The position requires an understanding of branding requirements as well as creative implementation of design principles to achieve client and University needs. Experience working with clients and outside vendors in the production of projects from idea to completion is preferred. The position participates in the marketing communications team efforts including serving as backup support for design, photography and may be asked to proofread items or participate in communications efforts as needed. Our team must prepare, practice, and execute specific roles and tasks as it pertains to crisis communication which this position will support. This position requires working with student workers as well as full-time staff in our office environment. A bachelor's degree is required, with portfolio of graphic design samples and photography must be provided for consideration. Seeking applicants with experience with project management and/or serving as account executive or liaison with clients; excellent interpersonal communication skills; strong team orientation. Preference given to candidates proficient in Adobe Creative Suite Platforms, and work effectively with others to achieve common goals and an ability to alter planned activities in order to accommodate new or changed situations. Some evening and weekend work are expectations of this position. A valid US Drivers' license with a safe driving record is required.
