All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform the work described in the job order and must be available for the entire period of employment specified in box 3 & 4, page 1 . Workers needed to plant, maintain and harvest diversified ground crops from the fields and greenhouses. Workers must have knowledge of soil tillage to perform field and greenhouse work, transplanting, weeding, thinning, hoeing, and other duties related to planting, maintaining, and harvesting produce crops. May work in wash/storage area prepping harvest for storage and distribution. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. frequently. Workers will load and unload trucks. Must be available to work Monday through Saturday and willing to work in varied weather ranging from rain, cold spring and fall to hot/humid summer days. Use of hand tools: shovels, hoes, pruners, May cut brush to keep from encroaching into crops. Workers will operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmer\'s fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as-needed basis. Workers must have a valid drivers license to drive farm truck between fields on public roads. The employer will provide 1 day(s) of training and allow 2 day(s) of work for the worker to satisfactory perform the duties described in this job description. Employer will furnish to workers without cost all tools and equipment required to perform duties assigned. Workers may require to work 8 hours shift between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm from Monday through Wednesday and may require to work 10 hours shift between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm from Thursday through Friday, and may require to work 8 hours shifts between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm on Saturday. Workers will be given 30 minutes lunch break and a 15 minute break in the morning and afternoon. Beginning and ending times will vary depending on the crop conditions. Workers must be able to take direction in simple English.
