Silver Reef Casino Resort Facility - Electrician in Ferndale, Washington

::: {title=""} ::: {contenteditable="false"} Under supervision of Engineering Manager/Engineering Lead, installs, maintains, repairs and modifies building electrical systems, electrical maintenance program consisting of general and preventive maintenance or construction tasks, must be skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving techniques to locate and correct defects in electrical systems, perform electrical systems tests using electrical testing equipment and document findings, knowledge of safety regulations, NEC and the standard practices and methods of the electrical trade are required, preferably gaming or hospitality experience, Must be able to climb ladders, work in small and confined spaces, ability to interpret and work independently from plans and specifications, written work orders, or from oral instructions is required, knowledge of design, installation and maintenance of facility electrical systems and equipment used in gaming or hospitality facilities preferred, knowledge of fire alarm systems and date cabling preferred, must be able to work on rotating shifts and/or set day/night work schedules as required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: • Ensures complete guest satisfaction AND treats guests in friendly and helpful manner. • Ensures that Quality Standards and Service are maintained for Property, Product, and People. • Supports established policies and procedures for Silver Reef Casino. • Track labor, parts, and machine history in plant Computerized Maintenance Management System. • Maintain a written log of any highlights occurring during shift coverage in conjunction with proper pass down entries. • Maintain flexibility with regard to schedule due to changing business needs. • Applies electrical code to troubleshoot and resolve basic electrical wiring / circuitry problems install and repair electrical equipment and wiring, roughing in feeders, branch circuit cables and circuits, splice electric or communication cables/trunk lines, and trimming out (finishing) electrical devices. • Understands one line and engineering drawings • Performs testing of electrical switch gear, panels, transformers and machinery. • Performs a variety of electrical/mechanical tests to determine exact cause of issue. • Performs unscheduled maintenance to the equipment and machinery to repair or replace defective parts. • Perform adjustments and calibration procedures on various forms of equipment. • Perform scheduled maintenance as instructed on all equipment/machinery/facility. • Make necessary temporary or permanent electrical installations, repairs, or modifications. • Collaborate with coworkers and other departments on all functions as required; work with other maintenance personnel in relocating or setting up new and used equipment. • Monitors work done by outside contractors for adherence to State Compact and Federal code requirements and reports to Engineering Manager/Engineering Lead • Responds to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service • May train and direct the work of other Engineering staff in the area • Assists and serves as back up to other Engineering employees

Supervisory Responsibilities: • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Education and/or Experience: • High School or equivalent • Certification from a college or technical school • OR completion of a trade school apprenticeship program • Valid Washington State electrical certificate or license • Six years as a journey-level Electrician in a commercial, industrial or facilities operations setting
