Description:

The Project Superintendent is responsible for assisting the Construction Project Manager to assure that the projects are completed and maintain the standard of excellence established by the company and customer. Certain tasks will be assigned by the Construction Project Manager to take the lead with little oversight. Along with working with the Construction Project Manager, this role may be given the opportunity to execute selected projects including managing financials, administration, implementation, and customer satisfaction. The Project Superintendent will ensure that quality standards are maintained across all tasks and projects within the project schedule timeline. This role is responsible for all field activities and installations. Ensure all systems are installed in accordance with plans and specifications as well as installation operation and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily logs of site activity, subcontractor documentation, startup logs, delivery receipts, safety inspections, punch lists, and updated as-built documentation.

• Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with stakeholders

• Ability to lead and manage onsite team, and subcontractors, and provide daily updates to project manager

• Coordinates and oversees job site logistics, daily work activities, day-to-day customer interactions, and progress of all subcontractors

• Orders material for projects, is responsible for on-site material, reconciles material shipments, and coordinates the delivery of equipment and material with subcontractors.

Qualifications:

• Six years of construction industry experience and a two-year degree from technical college in a related field or four-year bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of experience in the construction industry or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proficient at reading plans, and specifications; familiarity with project schedules, budgets, and safety procedures, to ensure adherence to these.

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Projects)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• HVAC and electrical experience preferred

• 6 plus years of experience in the commercial/industrial/institutional construction industry.

  • OSHA cert preferred

• Communication: Displays strong written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills.

• Collaboration: Build relationships with clients, subcontractors, PM's, and employees by always instilling a collaborative philosophy in the project team.

• Problem Solving: Analysis problems and makes sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications, and costs. Develop an understanding of the client’s needs, wants, preferences, and personality.

• Interpersonal Skills: Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities. Gain the respect and confidence of clients through effective communication.

• Communicate candidly and upfront when assistance is required.

• Organization: Utilizes strong organizational skills
