GKN Automotive Tool & Equipment Designer in Felsozsolca, Hungary
It is a truly exciting time to join us here at GKN Automotive in Hungary. We built a brand new manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Miskolc in 2023. Our Miskolc facility is a key regional facility for the driveline technologies that GKN Automotive supply to our global customer base. We employ hundreds of colleagues from the local community and will continue to develop the site over time.

We are seeking a Tool & Equipment Designer to join our team.
What will you be doing in this role? :
construction of tools, instrumentation and gauges for production purposes
introducing changes and improvements in the existing constructions of instrumentation and machines, improving the conditions of production processes and optimizing costs
cooperation with other departments of the company to ensure the efficiency, quality and continuity of work and production processes (including in emergency situations)
standardization of construction solutions and improvement of the construction process
participation in tests of the constructed instrumentation
supplementing and supervising data contained in databases
Requirements:
higher technical education or during graduation - preferred majors: mechanics and mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or Robotic
3-5 years of professional experience in a similar position (preferably the automotive industry)
very good knowledge of the technical drawing, including the principles of dimensioning and tolerancing
practical knowledge of materials science, mechanics and strength of materials
experience in working with 3D CAD systems (Creo Parametric preferred)
knowledge of manufacturing processes
good knowledge of the English language
creativity and innovation
communication skills and the ability to work in a group
