Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Account Executive (f/m/d) in Feldkirchen, Germany

We are looking for a high energy Account Executive in Germany.

The ideal candidate needs to have experience in selling high technology, value-based solutions across all levels of customers. You must have superior communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as a verifiable track record of accomplishments. You will be expected to germinate and uncover new and dormant accounts for Cadence.

In this role at the business end of our organization you will represent Cadence and will:

  • Act as the primary sales contact for the Cadence products in specified accounts with responsibility of generating business from those accounts and from other open territory accounts.

  • Be responsible for developing technical sales plans which may involve competitive displacement or creative business proposals.

  • Work with internal (application engineering, marketing, R&D) teams to develop and execute account plans and manage customer engagements.

  • Identify customer pain points, work with internal cross functional teams to identify perfect solutions using Cadence's Technologies and Services, making targeted sales presentations at appropriate customer levels and responding to objections; while maintaining solid customer relations and providing outstanding service.

  • Accurately forecast business pipeline.

  • Should be able to interact with the Global sales team as need arises and contribute to the worldwide activities in such accounts that require a global approach.

  • Should be flexible for travel across locations.

The following skills are crucial:

  • Communication – able to clearly present complex information both written and verbal; talk with customers and listen well.

  • Initiative – expected to germinate and uncover new and dormant accounts for Cadence within a given geographical area; undertake additional responsibilities and respond to situations as they arise without supervision.

  • Negotiating – able to obtain agreement from multiple parties; earn trust while working on a contract and communicate high value of products and services.

  • Decision making – able to use common sense to solve problems and get things done.

You will have at least 5 years of experience in software or Technology Sales, experience in Electronic Design Automation is preferred.

Position Requirements:

  • Master degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Physics, MBA will be an advantage.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technology sales – EDA/semiconductor sales experience is preferred.

  • Good understanding of IC design process.

  • Strong communication skills (German and English, verbal and written), ability to communicate to engineering and financial staff at all levels.

  • Result oriented, tactful, and polite with positive attitude to nurture and build long term customer relationships.

  • Hungry for new business opportunities and convert them into long term business for the company.

  • Ability to call high in the customer organizations while maintaining good relationship at all lower levels.

  • Excellent contract negotiation and sales skills.

  • Good team player, who can rally internal stakeholders and enjoys competition.
