Smith Brothers Farms, a leading producer and deliverer of milk to homes, schools, and business in the Puget Sound area for more than 100 years, is seeking Warehouse Truck Shuttler/Hostler to join the evening shift team in Federal Way, WA. This is a critical role responsible for shuttling delivery trucks/staging trucks, warehouse cleanup, and accuracy/quality. Enjoy working for a company that prides themselves on their people and their product. • Opportunity to advance: Smith Brothers Farms are always looking for key players to move into higher level roles! • Consistent, evening shift schedule: Sunday - Thursday from 5:00pm - 1:30am. Minimum requirements: • Must be able to communicate effectively with management & colleagues • Must be able to use a pallet jack (or have the ability to use one once trained) • Must be able to multitask • Must have the ability to operate a forklift (or have the ability to use one once trained) Physical requirements: • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds • Ability to perform tasks and responsibilities in cold conditions (36 degree F Cooler or Freezer) Tasks and Responsibilities: The position is expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures as well as follow all instructions as given by Manager/Foreman. Shuttling/Staging trucks • Ensure the truck is unplugged and park it in the correct dock location so it can be loaded. • Once the trucks are loaded in that “wave” return the truck to its assigned parking spot and plug it in. Warehouse cleanup • Pick up cardboard and other packaging to prepare the picking crew for the next wave. Accuracy /Quality • Check the selected routes for accuracy/quality and report any issues to the manager.
