Kaizen / Rework Technician
HIROTEC Manufacturing America, located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, is part of the HIROTEC Group, headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan. HIROTEC Group delivers body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, flexible closure tooling, and stamping dies to automotive customers around the world. Currently, we are seeking a Kaizen / Rework Technicianto become a part of the HIROTEC team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, while following all safety procedures, production processes, and company policies.
Implementation of Kaizen and Lean projects to increase efficiency and productivity while ensuring quality and safety protocols are met, such as eliminating waste, workstation design, markings and labels, fabrication, etc.
Use tools to manipulate steel, plastic, or other materials by cutting, hammering, bending, or grinding the workpiece.
Use measuring devices to check measurement and dimensions of workpiece.
Operate fabrication machines, such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, and flame cutters to cut, bend, grind, and adjust materials.
Assembly of components and sub-components, which includes manual or automates operation of machinery or tools.
Complete required production documentation/paperwork, manually or by data entry, accurately and timely.
Visually inspect and test finished parts to ensure they have been correctly assembled according to quality specifications.
Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
Perform regular equipment 5S to ensure production tooling and equipment are being maintained.
Provide assistance and training to other operators in their assigned responsibilities.
Work under the guidance of supervisor and assembly lead to perform and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner.
Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
Recommend process improvements to enhance operational quality, efficiency, and safety.
Report equipment faults to supervisory and maintenance staff.
Meets productivity requirements/quotas and produces quality parts ensuring products meet customer and internal standards and specifications.
Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area.
Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and minimum of two years related experience and/or training in automotive manufacturing environment, preferred; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work a standard 40 hours work week and overtime and holidays as required by management.
