Cargill, Incorporated seeks a full-time Refinery Superintendent located in Fayetteville, NC. The Refinery Superintendent provides strategic operational guidance and direction for all safety and production in a vegetable oil refinery.

This position requires

  • a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in developing continuous improvement strategy and process optimization.

  • Must also have 36 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following:

  • (1) overseeing continuous improvement strategy and process optimization Lean Six Sigma manufacturing projects or deployments;

  • (2) using continuous improvement methodologies and DMAIC, Lean, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA);

  • (3) applying structured and disciplined methodology to identify root cause and cause-effect relationships using data;

  • (4) using diagnostic tools Minitab, OSI PI, RtDuet, and Power BI;

  • (5) executing plant operations management, project management, and process engineering, and lead change initiatives; and

  • (6) deploying Lean Six Sigma methodologies in continuous process industries.

  • Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.

  • Position requires domestic travel up to 10%.
